With the help of a La Quinta Arts Foundation (LQAF) scholarship, Coachella resident Chris Sanchez, a 2007 La Quinta High School graduate, is going back to school.Some of 170 guests on this night might appreciate the lineup of bands, but they came from near and afar to see the festival’s monumental artwork (see “At Coachella, the Art is Larger Than Life”) and celebrate the founding of Desert X, a new international biennial exhibition that launches next February and continues through April, when the 2017 edition of Coachella unfolds.
